Better get your eardrums in shape …

with one comment

… especially if you plan on attempting to endure the aural assault of Japanese psychedelic rock band Acid Mothers Temple. The touring website Pollstar is reporting that the band will make a stop on April 12 of next year at the beloved Old City indie club The Pilot Light.

Granted, for many of you this may seem like just another band you’ve never heard of making music that sounds like two cats rutting inside a plugged-in woodchipper. But I assure you, fans of indie rock, noise rock, guitar rock, Japanese rock … any number of genres, actually … will start salivating at this news. Over on the local Internet bulletin board Knox Blab, the band is something of a favorite of several regular posters. Unfortunately, the site is down right now, so I can’t make my board friends pee themselves with the news.
